Position Overview

The HVAC Service Technician will diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential heating and air conditioning systems while providing professional and courteous service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems.
Identify system problems and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
Clearly explain HVAC issues and repair options to customers.
Provide professional and courteous customer service.
Complete service calls efficiently with high quality workmanship.
Handle after hours and emergency service calls as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow company procedures, safety practices, and applicable HVAC regulations.
Document service work, repairs, equipment information, and materials used.

Qualifications & Requirements

EPA 608 certification required.
Current TDLR HVAC Technician Registration required.
Residential HVAC service experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
Fluent English communication skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Reliable transportation.
Professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
Basic HVAC hand tools preferred.

My wife and I woke up one morning to a loud knocking coming from my attic and then my A/C shut off. My warranty company sent a repair man out, he was in the attic all of 20 minutes, came down and said he would submit what he found to the warranty company. A few hours later I was notified that I needed a bunch of repairs that were not covered by my warranty. I started making calls to several A/C companies. I read all the great reviews about KAC Express and called to schedule for someone to come out. Daniel showed up on time, he was very friendly, professional, and went right to work. Daniel explained exactly what the issue was and it was not what the previous repair man sent by the warranty company said. Daniel was able to repair the issue on the spot. A few minutes later my air was back on blowing cold air. Daniel also installed a new thermostat. Daniel and KAC Express saved me a lot of time and money. They are honest and affordable, and I will definitely use them for all my future heating and A/C needs and will be recommending them to my family, friends, and neighbors. UPDATE!!! This is an update to my previous review for KAC Express, and I couldn't be happier with their continued outstanding service. Feeling uneasy, I called KAC Express based on their great reviews. Daniel showed up right on time, was extremely friendly and professional, and quickly diagnosed the real issue—which was completely different from what the warranty company claimed. He fixed it on the spot and installed a new thermostat, saving us a ton of time and money to get our cold air blowing again. While we were so thankful for Daniel's quick repairs, our original unit was over 20 years old and ultimately reached the end of its lifespan, Especially in this Tx heat! When it was finally time for a replacement, we didn't hesitate to call KAC Express back out. They installed a brand new Trane system promptly, professionally, and at a very reasonable price. It is rare to find a company this honest, skilled, and affordable. The team at KAC Express have earned our business for life, and I will continue recommending them to all my family, friends, and neighbors!

KAC has been a reliable HVAC company for me for over 12 years. They installed my TRANE system over a decade ago and they will install my next one when that one goes. Excellent customer service and fair pricing. You can't ask for more. On a recent Sunday, I had an issue where I woke up and it felt too warm in the house. We called KAC and by 11am we were back in service. I highly recommend KAC.

KAC Express has done a fantastic job at installing my mom's new A/C. She is in her 80's, a/c went out in 100 degree weather. They had someone come in on the same day to evaluate it. They had been helping us try to keep it working for years, because she is on a fixed income, but it finally came to the point it couldn't be repaired. They came early the next day and took out the old one and installed the new one. Very professional and fast! Thanks again, KAC!
