Join the dynamic team at KAC Express, a thriving enterprise in search of a proactive and high-achieving HVAC Field Service Engineer. As an integral part of our organization, you’ll collaborate closely with the Owner to spearhead HVAC Service Technician strategies, overseeing their performance, and contributing to the expansion of our enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and delegate tasks to service personnel, including recruitment, scheduling, performance evaluation, and training, ensuring smooth operations.
• Evaluate workload and optimize service scheduling for maximum profitability.
• Coordinate material procurement and allocation for scheduled projects.
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards.
• Utilize HVAC software systems to optimize service scheduling, streamline workflow processes, and track technician performance.
• Collaborate with software vendors and IT department to customize and enhance HVAC software functionalities based on business needs.
• Stay updated on industry advancements in HVAC software technology and recommend upgrades or new solutions as appropriate.
• Provide guidance to technicians on service protocols, material usage, and workmanship standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC software systems with other business applications for seamless data flow and process integration.
• Prepares and presents quotes for add-on/replacement of equipment, preventive services and/or remediation, on request.
• Ensures that other vendors have required tools for the job and that they are properly maintained.
• Checks to ensure that each job is complete. Ensures that appropriate job documentation and/or payments are returned to the office.
• Oversee job completion, handle customer issues, and manage service documentation.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Generates reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory and tools.
• Oversees facility and equipment maintenance and participates in regular inventories of parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepares required reports on issues such as production, material usage, etc.
• Evaluates staff to determine training requirements. Provides on-the-job training and support to other vendors.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for any technical issues or software-related challenges encountered by service technicians.
• Maintains an organized, cleans and safe work area and observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Drive adoption of HVAC software tools and best practices across the service operations department to enhance productivity and service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3-5 years of service experience; relevant experience or advanced training may be considered.
• Preferably, experience in the HVAC industry with a strong understanding of electrical, electronics, controlling, plumbing, and air flow.
• Working knowledge of general industry standards; familiarity with CRM systems software is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, computer, and mathematical skills are essential.
